Annoucement [from Carol Furutani]

Congratulations to Thiranan "Nan" Tim for winning the VIP tickets for the October 6 A3M Starnight fundraiser featuring jazz fusion keyboardist Keiko Matsui and renowned chef Michael Kang. These VIP tickets were part of the Silver sponsorship package we earned from the A3M/WRAP/RAPPA joint golf fundraiser. Nan won the tickets through a drawing for APPA volunteers.

Thanks to all our volunteers who help with our various activities. If you volunteer, you too can be eligible to wins prizes such as this.

If you're interested in volunteering for upcoming events contact William H Wong at 310.615.9496.

[For Boeing employees: Boeing only sanctions recruiting volunteers for company approved programs, so AAPA is passing this along for informational purposes only and is not endorsing or promoting the recruiting of volunteers for WRAP.]

To the most kind potential volunteer tutors,

WRAP Family Services is currently in need of volunteer tutors for their tutorial program beginning the week of Sept. 30th 2002. The program will run on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:00PM till 7:00PM (beginning time is somewhat flexible). Although volunteers may participate on both days a commitment of just one evening per week is requested. The students enrolled in this program range from first grade to seniors in high school. Attached is the application to volunteer at our agency. If you are interested in helping please fill the form out and contact me as soon as possible so that we can get the ball rolling for our enrolled students. Also, if you know of anyone who may be interested in volunteering please pass this information along to them or send me their contact information so that we can get more community members involved.

Thanks for your help!
