The internet site is temporarily at:

apa-pro.nstemp.org

Back issues of the newsletter for all of 2000 and 2001are available on the website if you want to look up some past event. (Well some of them, at the moment.)

This Weekend

April 6 concert by Visiting Violette at the Japan America Theatre, 8PM, $16, 213-628-2725, hi folks, just wanted to let you know that I'll be playing taiko with the Asian American alt-rock band Visiting Violette (VV) (www.visitingviolette.com) next weekend, Saturday, April 6, 8 pm at the Japan America Theatre--I'm a guest performer for one song, "Breezeby," but the whole concert should be pretty cool. VV are a great Silverlake-based band that will be releasing their first full-length CD at this concert, and will also be having a guest spoken word artist (Keiko Agena from the WB's Gilmore Girls), an MC (Jose "Flipchild" Saenz) and 5 guest hip hop dancers with new choreography by Tammy Yamada. Tickets are $16 general admission, $12 for students, JACCC Members, and groups of 10 or more--Definitely not "traditional taiko." Hope you are all well--updates on Eitetsu Hayashi workshops and 2002 Summer Taiko Institute coming soon--Bryan
