August 10 APEX Short Hiking Trip Saturday, For some strange reason, this is a really popular event. We have been to the same hike in Malibu Beach every year. First year, I had about 25 people show up. Second year, I had about 40 people show up and third year, I had about 70 people show up. Some came all the way from San Diego and Santa Barbara. Please let me know if you want to go to Griffith Park by Crystal Spring (all mountain with the view of Glendale and Burbank) or Malibu Beach (Great ocean view with light sand beach near Pepperdine University) by the first week of July. I ate junk food at the St Mary's Carnival and took in a performance of Red Thread by the Ziggurat production company in the old Helms Bakery Building in Culver City. The play is highly recommended, and doesn't have any four letter words.
