BMW R65LS (photos)

Not one of BMW's better ideas. These little bikes vibrated like hell and were pretty slow. My father installed a rubber motor mount kit which made it tolerable, and I rode it from LA to Kentucky and back. Had to rebuild the fork to make the ride tolerable, and that was when the bike was still relatively new. Electronic ignition from the factory made the bike a lot easier to maintain. Got rid of it with only 15,000 miles on it

This was the last bike my father rode.
